Bollywood Hot Actor Sharman Joshi said that, “I hope good scripts find me”

Sharman Joshi is back on the Bollywood canvas. The actor has had a great Christmas this year with the release of his new film. But that’s not the only thing on his mind.

You seem to be specializing in comedy:-
l Not really. I have done some very serious roles like in Life in a Metro or Raqeeb, but yes the fact remains that the comedies have worked better at the box office. So, that’s the thing people tend to remember. And frankly, I don’t worry about the genre as long as the script appeals to me. The aim should be to be a part of good movies. I believe it’s the movie that chooses you.

Your are sharing screen space with Aamir Khan and R Madhavan, you have worked with them previously.

Is it more fun to work with people you know?

I There was no need to break the ice because we knew each other, so well, we saved time on that. We just carried on with the party that began on the sets of Rang De Basanti (smiles). Aamir is a fantastic actor and a great co-star, no doubt, and the same holds for Madhavan. It was a great outdoors like an all-boys party, except for the time when Bollywood Hot Spicy Girl Kareena Kapoor used to come in like a breath of fresh air. But otherwise we had a great time on the sets.

What are your forthcoming projects?

I have some interesting projects lined up. There’s Allah Ke Bande with Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni and others, then there is Toh Baat Pakki that’s with Tabu, which will be directed by Kedar Shinde.

What’s your New Year wish?

I besides the fact that my films should do well, I hope that good scripts find me. And I hope that I manage to latch on to them.

Salman throws a stag party.

Bollywood Hot Bold Actor Salman Khan (Sallubhai) is well-known in Bollywood circles for his wild parties. If the party happens to be his birthday bash and that too at his farmhouse at Panvel, it promises to be double the fun.

However, 27th Dec.2009 night, Salman had a low-key celebration for his 45th birthday. He had a stag party.

A source says, “Bhai is known to have fun during his parties at Panvel. His parties are much awaited and talked about by his guests. Salman’s large-heartedness ensures that all of them have a blast. However, this year, Salman is not in one of his merry moods.

After his break-up with Bollywood Hot Sizzling Spicy Babe Katrina Kaif, he is not in the mood to go all out and celebrate. So, on his special day, he did not send invitations to any female.

He did not feel the need to have a girlfriend by his side or even bask in the glory of any other female company. Incidentally, Katrina is in London to celebrate Christmas and New Year with her family. Salman has invited only his close male friends.

Yesterday’s party was held only for his close friends music composers Sajid Wajid, hairstylist Aalim Hakim, his bodyguard Shera, his close associate Nadeem, his filmmaker friends Vijay Galani and Sajid Nadiadwala among others. Salman has already celebrated his birthday with his family on Saturday night.”

Let’s hope that by next year, the tide turns and the large-hearted Khan gets back to hosting parties.

Radio Mirchi, the official partner of Mood Indigo — Asia’s biggest college festival organized by IIT Powai, roped in the forthcoming Bollywood Upcoming Movie 2010 - Chance Pe Dance so that lead actor and dancer Shahid Kapoor might preside over the dancing competition held during the event.

Shahid Kapoor, easily one of Bollywood’s finest dancers, was cheered by 6,000-plus students from colleges across the country as he sat through ten scintillating performances. Dazzled by what he was seeing, Shahid said, “I am hugely impressed by how professionally the event has been managed by the IIT students and it is great to see Radio Mirchi supporting young talent.”

Sriram Kilambi, Station Director, Radio Mirchi, added, “We have always been supportive of cultural initiatives by college students and are the official radio partner of Mood I for over five years. IIT and Mirchi come together every year in December to make the event bigger and better. Students tune into Mirchi for regular updates on events, contests, and for passes to the live performances.

We also do live updates from the venue. Mirchi RJs are invited to compare and judge events. This year RJ Suren of Sunset Samosa was the host at the dance competition and the Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy show. We look forward to Mood I 2010.”

The event ended with the participants of the competition shaking a leg with Shahid Kapoor and posing for pictures with the youth icon of Bollywood.
