After Emraan Hashmi, AKA the serial kisser of Bollywood, another star seems to be fast achieving that status.

Shahid Kapoor has been in such a series of smoochathons that he might as well have the same title - but, of course, nobody is going to call him that.

Yet after smooching Priyanka Chopra in Kaminey, and then Hot Genelia in Chance Pe Dance (the scene was later deleted from the film), Shahid is perking up his lips, on screen, to do chumma chaati with Anushka Sharma in Yash Raj’s next. In fact, the scene has already been shot when they were in Bangkok.

“While shooting in Bangkok, Shahid and Anushka did the shot. It's not just a kiss - it’s a full on, lip-lock smooch,” says a source present on the sets. He also confirms, “As it was the first time for Hot Anushka Sharma, she was little nervous and was not comfortable. So, director Parmeet had a word with her and reassured her that the scene was very important for the script.” Of course, it was!

We contacted Parmeet Sethi, but he couldn't talk because Yash Raj has a no-comment policy when a movie is being shot.

Protestors Dispute Bollywood Star Akshay Kumar Torch Relay in Toronto.

One of Bollywood biggest stars Akshay Kumar carried the Olympic torch as it made its way through Toronto on Thursday.

Kumar ran with the Olympic torch on the Toronto landmark Yonge Street in bone-chilling weather. Even the minus eight-degree temperature failed to deter people as thousands lined up both sides of the street to have a glimpse of the star.

However, Kumar could not finish his 300-metre run as protesters blocked the street to highlight the treatment of Native Indians by the Canadian government.

Hundreds of policemen intervened to remove the agitators who kept shouting slogans against the holding of the Olympics on lands taken away from the original natives of Canada.

Kumar is an international torchbearer with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. He took up the flame on Yonge St. between Gloucester St. and Breadalbane St. at approximately 6:10 p.m.

"I am honoured and privileged to have been selected as an official torchbearer for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay," Kumar said. "Running with the Olympic Flame in Toronto gives me an exceptional opportunity to represent India and all of my fans. The flame is a symbol of freedom, peace and global friendship, and I would like to thank Canada for this honour and recognition."

Thanking Canada for inviting him to run with the Olympic torch, he said, "It is a dream come true.

"I am honoured and privileged to have been selected as an official torchbearer for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic torch relay. I would like to thank Canadians for this honour and recognition,'' he said.

Kumar calls Canada his home away from home, and supports numerous Canadian charities, including the Trillium Health Centre Toronto.

Bollywood Hot Sizzling Actor Vivek Oberoi a fan of Kannada actor Sudeep.

After working with Sudeep in Rakta Charitra, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has become such a big fan of the Kannada actor that he has agreed to attend the audio release function of his forthcoming venture Just Maath Maathalli as a chief guest.

"I found Sudeep to be a profound actor and I think many of us should learn from the intensity he displays while doing his roles. I think if ever I want to do Kannada films, I just need to approach Sudeep and ask him for a good role," said Vivek.

Apart from wielding the megaphone for Just Maath Maathalli, Sudeep also stars in it along with Ramya.

The release function will be held on December 14 here and other celebs like Malayalam film star Mohanlal, Tamil star Silambarasan and Telugu star Jagapathi Babu are also expected to attend it.

"Vivek was very happy to be part of this function. He was here recently on a personal visit when I invited him to the function. He was very happy to be part of this big function," says Shankare Gowda, the producer of the film.

Incidentally, Sudeep is set to direct the Hindi version of Just Maath Maathalli and he is considering John Abraham or Shahid Kapoor to play the main lead. For the female lead, he is trying to rope in Asin Thottumkal or Deepika Padukone.

Ramesh Taurani, who had recently made the hugely successful Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, may produce the Hindi version.

Ranbir Kapoor unleashes sales pitch for Rocket Singh.

Bollywood Hot Bold Actor Ranbir Kapoor walked the red carpet last night for the world premiere of his latest upcoming film Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year and peddled his comedy with charm and brevity. Kapoor plays a fresh college graduate — an underachiever — grappling with his first job as a salesman.

Addressing a press conference earlier in the day, Kapoor said he was proud to be part of a film which was a departure from the run-of-the-mill Bollywood musicals. The film is one of the star attractions of the Dubai International Film Festival.

"Rocket Singh: Salesman Of the Year is not your quintessential song-and-dance film. It's an honest film made with lots of sincerity. We have tried to keep away from the formulaic stuff and it is realistic," said Kapoor. But he is quick to add that the film is not serious or brooding in nature. The Bollywood blue-blood — who hails from the powerful Kapoor dynasty — has enjoyed a phenomenal year with hits including Wake Up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Touted as the next-best-thing in Bollywood, Kapoor says his career decisions are dictated by his gut instincts.

"I don't have any method or formula to choose roles. If I am convinced that the director has an interesting story to tell, then I go by my gut instincts," says Kapoor.

Meanwhile, the film also brings together the hit pair — director Shimit Amin and writer Jaideep Sahni. Their previous outing Chak De! India turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2007.

Challenging project:-

Known for his no-frill films, director Amin admits that making Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year was a challenging project.

"It was difficult to make a film without the usual song and dance. It was difficult to make a film stripped off the commercial elements.

"Very often, Bollywood films showcase the latest fashion or styles of wedding dresses for Indians living abroad," says Amin. The director was referring to the trend of Bollywood musicals that were a melange of Indian festivals and romance.

According to Shazahn, she was never kept in the dark about the kiss as it was made clear in the script that she would have to kiss her co-star in a scene. On top of it, she claims that Ranbir made her “very comfortable” while shooting the kiss.

However, Ranbir has been saying something else. According to him, there wasn’t a kiss but a ‘cheat kiss’ in which camera was placed at such an angle that it seemed they were kissing.

The revelation might embarrass Shazahn a bit because it was she who first spoke about having kissed Ranbir in the film.

The squabble doesn’t end here. Gauhar Khan, another actress in the film, recently pulled the rug from under Shazahn’s feet by claiming that she has as much screen time in ‘Rocket Singh’ as Shazahn.

Bollywood Hot Actor Sunil Shetty skips father-in-law’s birthday bash for IFFI.

Sunil Shetty missed his father-in-law’s birthday celebration in the US to attend the screening of “Red Alert-The War Within” – a movie that deals with the Maoists – at the 40th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The actor-producer says it was a “heartbreaking decision”.

“I had to choose between attending my screening in Goa and going for my father-in-law’s 80th birthday celebration in the US,” Sunil, who attended a film festival for the first time, told IANS

“My wife and her entire family, who are like my own family, are there. I am like a son in my wife’s family. Moreover ever since my father-in-law lost his wife, he hasn’t been himself. It was a heartbreaking decision. But one that my wife helped me to make.”

Sunil’s father-in-law turns 80 this week and it is a very special occasion for him.

“But I had to be in Goa for the screening of ‘Red Alert’. The films were a sell-out at all the screens in Goa. The film is being recognized at international film festivals,” said Sunil who won the best actor award at the South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF) in New York for his performance in “Red Alert”.

Sunil was excited about IFFI because for the first time he was attending a film festival.

“IFFI is my first film festival. Can you believe it? In all these years I’ve never been to a film festival in my life! I wasn’t there at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York where I won the best actor award for my performance in ‘Red Alert’. This time I had to be there,” he said.

The actor, whose realistic performance as a Maoist in “Red Alert” is getting him critical applause, is also pleased with the response to his just-released no-brainer “De Dana Dan”.

“It is a full-on paisa-wasool Priyardarshan film. And we’ve all given our sweat and blood to it,” said Sunil.

He had a major accident while shooting the climax of “De Dana Dan” which kept him bedridden for months.

“The chest region is still not fully healed. But like I said ‘De Dana Dan’ was a whole lot of fun. Then I’ve another comedy Anees Bazmi’s ‘No Problem’ Bollywood Upcoming Movie. I think I am finally done with making mistakes in my career,” he said.

Bollywood Sizzling Actor Shahrukh Khan, Director Vishal Bharadwaj make up.

That Shahrukh Khan and Vishal Bhardwaj had a fall-out not too long ago was a hot topic of discussion among many.

But this is Bollywood, and here, relationships are fickle. The latest on the duo is that they have patched-up, and if all goes well, SRK will star in one of Vishal Bharadwaj Movies. They had a long meeting last week, in the course of which, the hatchet was buried.

A source revealed, “Shah Rukh and Vishal met warmly and discussed many ideas. One of them may soon translate into a film.”

Apparently, SRK and Vishal had creative differences over a script sometime ago when SRK wanted several changes in the script to suit his image and Vishal was not particularly kicked about it.

The first whiff that a patch-up was in the offing came when Shah Rukh Khan Wife Gauri Khan attended a screening of Vishal Bharadwaj Kaminey at Yash Raj Studios. Commenting on the patch-up, our source said, “Shah Rukh saw Kaminey and sent a message to Vishal, lauding him. On the other hand, Vishal, in a recent interview, praised SRK’s acting abilities and stated that he would love to bring out the actor in his film. Gradually but surely, Shahrukh and Vishal have put the past behind them. They are now keen on working together.

However, nothing about a film has been finalized yet. But when a director like Vishal and an actor like SRK team up, it will be a much awaited film.
