Jon may not have met Saif Ali Khan but he did edit the actor’s Being Cyrus which was directed by Homi Adajania.
As per Latest Director John Harris Interviews, he said that, “Saif Ali Khan can look young and, at the same time, mature too. I would have loved to cast him in this horror film (The Descent Part 2) but, unfortunately, the story had no male actors in a prominent role, and it was a sequel, so there had to be continuation.
I look at him as the Wolverine, that is, Hugh Jackman of India. I am really looking forward to directing him as soon as I get a green signal for my next project as director.”

As per Latest Kareena Kapoor Interviews, she said that, ‘Saif Ali Khan has never looked cooler. He has lost nine kilos in three months. He’s all toned and rippling muscles. He was with long hair for so long that I had forgotten how dashing he looks in cropped hair.
Saif has got his hair cropped really short, that’s all I can tell you about his ‘Agent Vinod’ look. He got it done a couple of days back. Since then he was reluctant to step out of his house’. And that too only because I’ll see how he looks anyway because I’m his co-star.

As per Latest Madhur Bhandarkar Interviews, he said that, "I wish to clarify that is not based on the life and times of Marilyn Monroe or any actress. It's a contemporary film. Also, neither have I approached Saif for any role in the film, nor is there any role in my film that could remind anyone of a legendary politician. Of course, there are several characters in the film, but the story revolves around Kareena. I've yet to finalize the balance star cast." Madhur Bhandarkar begins filming in October.
