(1) Amitabh Bachchan won National Award at 57th National Film Awards for Best Actor for name “Paa”. This is the third one and earlier he won for Bollywood Latest Hit Movies 2010Agneepath and Black. Amitabh Bachchan had also bagged Best Newcomer for his debut film Saat Hindustani in 1970.
As per Latest Amitabh Bachchan Blog Updation, he wrote that, "They have decorated me with the Best Actor Award for ‘PAA’. But that is not all. ‘Paa’ has been victorious in a few other categories as well. Best Supporting Actress to Arundhati Nag, Best Make-Up, and Best Film (Hindi ). Four National Awards to ‘Paa’. This is just tremendous!"

(2) As many as 31 TV channels – national and international – will start showing, three Gujarat Tourism ad films with Amitabh Bachchan as brand ambassador from 17 September.
Initially three ads featuring Gir forest, Somnath Mandir and Kutch will be on air. Other ads are either in post-production stage, or are yet to be produced.
